Abstract: Based on my research and industry experience, I'll provide an overview of how I've (personally) come to understand what "Data Science" means, covering a series of selected observations, examples and case studies. I will host a Q&A at the end of the session to address questions from students about Data Science and career orientation.

Biography: Francesco Manni is a Technical Lead in the domain of Data Scientist. He has 13+ years of experience in Data / Applied Science across Research and business applications, in Finance and Tech. He is passionate about helping organizations unleash their true data-driven potential, fostering fact-based decision making as a means to improve the status quo.
