Abstract: This talk explores how AI will transform the research process. It envisions AI not merely as a tool for specific tasks, but as a partner in knowledge production. Using research as an example, we will examine future scenarios of human-AI collaboration in carrying out typical research activities. These scenarios emphasize the degree of autonomy, as well as the extent to which AI takes the initiative. Key takeaways include the importance of combining generative AI with traditional tools, the changing role of researchers, and the new skills needed for effective collaboration.
