Nel suo primo documentario realizzato con la tecnica del desktop design, Kevin B. Lee, regista e Professore straordinario della Facoltà di comunicazione, cultura e società e Locarno Film Festival Professor for the Future of Cinema and the Audiovisual Arts, si addentra nelle tracce storiche della propaganda estremista e negli sforzi di chi ne contrasta gli effetti violenti.
Afterlives esplora come affrontare la violenza insita in questi media, andando oltre i loro effetti tossici e confrontandosi con le strutture di potere che spaziano dal passato coloniale all'era digitale.

In his first documentary made using the desktop filmmaking technique, Kevin B. Lee, filmmaker, Professor at the Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society, and Locarno Film Festival Professor for the Future of Cinema and the Audiovisual Arts, delves into the historical traces of extremist propaganda and the efforts of those working to counter its violent effects.
Afterlives explores how to confront the violence encoded in this media, reaching beyond its toxic effects to engage with power structures spanning from the colonial past to the digital age.
