The Industrial Policy and Space Economy Division is responsible for establishing and maintaining a close relation with the Member States regarding industrial policy, defining and pursuing of the return objectives and pursuing of the economic impact of space activities.

The Space Economy team and the Commercialisation Department support the secretariat of the ECSECO, which main objective is to provide a European platform for interdisciplinary discussions and research on space economy and commerce while connecting economists, engineers and scientists.

The Strategy, Coordination and Management Support Office supports the Director for matters related to Strategy, including the evolution of the Directorate's activities and processes, and for matters related to the coordination of inter-department and inter-Directorate activities.

The Industrial Audit team are driven professionals that perform audits to the Industrial Partners working with ESA, responsible for a wide range of audit activities which include auditing the cost incurred in projects, assessing the financial viability of companies, assisting in price negotiations, and reviewing financial proposals.
