Due membri del team del Servizio hanno partecipato alla conferenza APAIE 2026 (Asia-Pacific Association for International Education), uno dei principali appuntamenti internazionali dedicati all’internazionalizzazione dell’istruzione superiore.
L’edizione di quest’anno si è svolta a Hong Kong, importante hub accademico della regione Asia-Pacifico, noto per l’eccellenza delle sue università e per il forte orientamento internazionale e innovativo del suo sistema di ricerca e formazione.
Obiettivi principali della partecipazione sono stati gli incontri (15) con potenziali nuovi partner (in Corea, Cina, Hong Kong, Singapore, Giappone, USA) e le visite ai campus universitari (PolyU, Chinese University Hong Kong, Hong Kong Baptist University e Hong Kong University of Science and Technology). La delegazione USI, insieme alle altre istituzioni svizzere presenti, ha inoltre preso parte a una reception presso l’abitazione del Console Generale della Svizzera a Hong Kong e Macao, Daniel Freihofer.

| | Settimana contro il razzismo 2026 In occasione della prossima Settimana contro il razzismo che si terrà dal 23 al 29 marzo 2026, il Servizio pari opportunità e il Servizio relazioni internazionali e mobilità dell'USI con il Servizio Gender e Diversity SUPSI propongono il progetto "Oltre lo sguardo. Storie di lavoro dal razzismo all’inclusione".
“Oltre lo sguardo” è un progetto multidisciplinare che affronta il tema del razzismo nel contesto lavorativo, utilizzando strumenti scientifico-divulgativi, cinematografici e letterari. Il titolo sintetizza l’essenza dell’iniziativa: un invito a superare la percezione superficiale dell’altro per coglierne la complessità e l’umanità. |

| | La Svizzera, un paese neutrale e (ancora) felice? Nell'ambito della rassegna "Il mondo in USI", la conferenza con Maurizio Binaghi, ispirata a suo libro "La Svizzera è un paese neutrale (e felice)" (Roma, Laterza, 2025), propone una lettura storica del “caso svizzero” oltre gli stereotipi: la neutralità come costruzione politica, il federalismo come gestione del conflitto, la democrazia diretta come strumento di integrazione, il pluralismo linguistico come pratica di compromesso. Attraverso una prospettiva di lunga durata, verranno messi in luce i fattori di successo del modello svizzero offrendo una riflessione critica sull’attualità della neutralità e sulle sfide che il Paese è chiamato ad affrontare. 17:30 |

Two members of the Service team participated in the APAIE 2026 conference (Asia-Pacific Association for International Education), one of the leading international events dedicated to the internationalization of higher education.
This year's edition took place in Hong Kong, an important academic hub in the Asia-Pacific region, known for the excellence of its universities and the strong international and innovative orientation of its research and training system.

| | Anti-Racism Week 2026 To mark the upcoming Anti-Racism Week, to be held from 23 to 29 March 2026, the Equal Opportunities Service and the International Relations and Study Abroad Service USI with the Gender and Diversity Service of SUPSI, are proposing the project “Beyond the eyes. Stories of work from racism to inclusion.”
“Oltre lo sguardo” is a multidisciplinary project that addresses the issue of racism in the workplace, using scientific, educational, cinematographic, and literary tools. The title sums up the essence of the initiative: an invitation to look beyond superficial perceptions of others in order to grasp their complexity and humanity. |

| | Switzerland, a neutral and (still) happy country? As part of the "Il mondo in USI" initiative, this lecture by Maurizio Binaghi, inspired by his book "La Svizzera è un paese neutrale (e felice)" (Roma, Laterza, 2025), offers a historical reading of the “Swiss case” beyond stereotypes: neutrality as a political construction, federalism as a way of managing conflict, direct democracy as a tool of integration, and linguistic pluralism as a practice of compromise. Through a long-term perspective, the success factors of the Swiss model will be highlighted, offering a critical reflection on the relevance of neutrality today and the challenges facing the country. 5:30 pm |
