The "LifestyleTech Competence Center", in Manno, was opened on July 16, 2020 and sees USI among its signatories. The association aims to promote synergies between important partners and create a center of excellence for the lifestyle sector with digital fashion as one of the core topics.
A great achievement for USI which has been ranked #273 in the QW World University Rankings 2021, placing itself in the world top 10 for the international students’ indicator and 17th in the international faculty indicator. It also ranked #54 in the Times Higher Education Young University Ranking.

Michela is a PhD student at USI and Professional Lecturer at SUPSI. Her research focuses on the role of touch and haptic technologies in digital fashion. She is a fashion and luxury expert with thirty-years’ executive experience in leading industry firms. She holds an MBA from Jefferson University.
