L'USI mette a disposizione un nuovo locale Spazio di cura, pensato per coloro che, per esigenze personali, fisiche o di salute, necessitano di un luogo tranquillo dove potersi fermare e riposare durante lavoro ostudio. Lo spazio dispone di un kit di primo soccorso e funge da locale allattamento.

Ogni ottobre si celebra l' "Ottobre Rosa", il mese dedicato alla prevenzione del tumore al seno. "Ottobre Rosa "promuove diagnosi precoce, ricerca e sostegno alle donne, diffondendo consapevolezza e speranza nella lotta contro questa malattia.

Premio pari opportunità 2025

Il Premio per contributi scientifici su tematiche di parità e diversità 2025 dell’USI, del valore di 2'000 franchi ciascuno, è stato assegnato ex aequo ad Andrea Esposito e Daniela Baiardi per le rispettive tesi di Master. Una menzione speciale è stata attribuita a Kathryn Angelotti.

Il Servizio pari opportunità assegna la borsa Shadowing a dottorande e ricercatrici post-doc iscritte al Programma di mentoring accademico USI. Nel 2025, la borsa è stata assegnata a Sheikh Asadi Narjes, dottoranda presso IALS - USI, che ha svolto lo Shadowing presso l'Università di Liverpool.

Care Room: new space at West Campus

USI has made available a new Care room, designed for those who, for personal, physical or health reasons, need a quiet place where they can stop and rest during work or study. The room is equipped with a first aid kit and also serves as a breastfeeding room.

Every October, "Pink October" is celebrated, the month dedicated to breast cancer prevention. "Pink October" promotes early diagnosis, research, and support for women, spreading awareness and hope in the fight against this disease.

The USI 2025 Award for Scientific Contributions on Topics of Equality and Diversity, worth 2,000 Swiss francs each, was awarded jointly to Andrea Esposito and Daniela Baiardi for their respective Master's thesis. A special mention was awarded to Kathryn Angelotti for her Master's thesis.

The Equal Opportunities Service awards the Shadowing Grant to female PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers participating in the USI Academic Mentoring Program. In 2025, the Grant was awarded to Sheikh Asadi Narjes, PhD at IALS -USI, for a research stay at the University of Liverpool.
