We are enthusiastic to announce FACTUM 21 “Fashion Communication: between tradition and future digital developments - II edition”. It will take place at the University of Navarra, Pamplona (Spain), hosted by ISEM Fashion Business School and the School of Communication from June, 28 to July 1, 2021.
FACTUM 21 is a major academic event which aims to promote theoretical and empirical interdisciplinary work on how various communication practices impact upon fashion industry and on societal fashion-related practices and values.
The major topics of interest focus on communication aspects in the fashion domain and also reflect key research topics that emerged in FACTUM 19. For key dates and details of the call for papers click here.
The conference FACTUM 19 (Ascona, Switzerland) gathered participants from 15 countries. In less than one year, the conference Proceedings have been already downloaded 26k+ times, becoming a milestone in understanding how communication is impacting the fashion industry.
The document “Fashion Communication Research. A way ahead” was written during the conference FACTUM 19 to support an international and interdisciplinary network of scholars in the area. It has been published by SComS – Studies in Communication Sciences Journal.
Teresa Sádaba, Ph.D. in Journalism, is amongst the conference chairs of FACTUM 21. She is Dean at ISEM Fashion Business School and teaches Strategic Communication for Fashion Companies. She is the director of the course “Fashion Communication” in the MSc in Digital Fashion Communication at USI.
