Lo scrittore martinicano Patrick Chamoiseau, Prix Goncourt 1992 per "Texaco" e ospite di ChiassoLetteraria (6–10 maggio 2026), sarà sul campus USI giovedì 7 maggio dalle 15:30 alle 17:00, presso l'Aula 355 del Palazzo Principale (Campus Ovest Lugano).

L’autore interverrà nel corso "Français de la mode" della prof.ssa Regina Bollhalder Mayer ( in collaborazione con il Laboratorio di lingue moderne), offrendo a studentesse e studenti un’importante occasione di dialogo con una delle voci più autorevoli della letteratura francofona contemporanea. Al centro dell’incontro, i temi dell’identità culturale e del valore etnografico della moda come linguaggio non verbale.

L’incontro è aperto a tutta la comunità accademica e amministrativa e si terrà in lingua francese. L'evento è reso possibile grazie alla collaborazione con ChiassoLetteraria e al sostegno del Master in Digital Fashion Communication.

The Martinican writer Patrick Chamoiseau, winner of the 1992 Prix Goncourt for "Texaco" and guest of ChiassoLetteraria (6–10 May 2026), will be at the Università della Svizzera italiana on Thursday, 7 May. He will give his lecture from 15:30 to 17:00 in Room 355 of the Main Building (West Campus, Lugano).

The author will take part in the “French for Fashion” course led by Prof. Regina Bollhalder Mayer (in collaboration with the USI Laboratory of Modern Languages), offering USI students a significant opportunity to engage with one of the most influential voices in contemporary Francophone literature. At the heart of the dialogue will be themes of cultural identity and the ethnographic value of fashion, understood as a form of non-verbal language.

The encounter is open to all interested students and faculty members.

The lecture will be held in French and is made possible through the collaboration with ChiassoLetteraria and the support of the Master in Digital Fashion Communication.
