Cosimo Risi, ex-ambasciatore italiano a Berna ed esperto di relazioni internazionali, terrà una conferenza dal titolo La Russia di Putin in Medio Oriente e nel Golfo. La Russia di Putin ha assunto, a partire dal 2012, un sempre maggior peso militare e diplomatico nel Medio Oriente e nei paesi del Golfo. La presenza russa nella regione è cruciale non solo per gli esiti della guerra in Siria, ma anche nel conflitto fra sunniti e sciiti nella regione e nelle relazioni diplomatiche, talvolta inattese, con i paesi del Golfo. Queste nuove configurazioni geopolitiche saranno al centro dell’analisi condotta dall’ambasciatore Cosimo Risi.

Cosimo Risi, former Italian Ambassador in Berna and expert in International Relations, will lecture on Putin’s Russia in the Middle East and in the Gulf. Since 2012, Putin’s Russia has been playing an increasingly important political and diplomatic role in the Middle East and in the Gulf. The presence of Russia in the region is crucial, not only for the outcomes of the Syrian war, but also for the conflict between Sunni and Shia, and in terms of the diplomatic (sometimes unexpected) relations with the Gulf countries. These new geopolitical configurations will be at the core of Ambassador Risi’s analysis.
