BRIDGE is a joint program conducted by the SNSF and Innosuisse. It offers funding opportunities at the intersection of basic research and science-based innovation, thereby supplementing the funding activities of the 2 organisations.
Discovery is aimed at experienced researchers allowing them to realise the innovation potential of research findings. The project must be characterized by scientific excellence and a clear vision of a future application with great social or economic impact.
This opportunity is open to established researchers employed at least at 50% for the whole project duration.Duration: 4 years.Funding: Staff salaries and research costs directly linked to the project.
BRIDGE Proof of Concept helps young researchers to apply their research results and gain the confidence needed to make a market entry. The projects may target innovations of all kinds from all research areas.
- BA or MA degree (within 4 years after the last degree) or- PhD students within 6 months prior to graduation or postdoctoral researchers within 4 years after obtaining their doctoral degree.Duration: 12 monthsFunding: max. 130kCHF (applicant & employees' salary costs plus some research funds)
