The Swiss National Science Foundation awards Sinergia grants to support collaborative, interdisciplinary projects involving breakthrough research.
At least 2 and at the most 4 research groups can submit an application for a Sinergia grant.If there are 3 or more applicants, one applicant can be based abroad if their expertise is essential.
Applicants must be in a position to carry out research projects under their own responsibility andto lead project staff both scientifically and as employees.They must have a professorial position equivalent at least 50% FTE.
Funding is granted for one to four years with a budget between CHF 50’000 and CHF 3.2 million.
