Leading Houses (LH) are coordinated by Swiss universities on behalf of SERI and aim to foster scientific bilateral collaboration with specific geographical areas.Currently there are 2 open calls:
The Leading House Asia and the National Research Foundation (NRF) of the Republic of Korea jointly fund the exchange of early career scientists between South Korea and Switzerland.
The Leading House Asia ETH Zurich and the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) jointly fund the exchange of early career scientists between Japan and Switzerland.
Doctoral students (and in exceptional cases post-doctoral students) from Swiss universities and public research institutes. The call is open to all scientific disciplines including social sciences and humanities.
The instrument funds 3 (South Korea) to 6 (Japan) months research stays in the partner country. Switzerland-based researchers can apply to ETH Zurich Leading House for a stay in South Korea/Japan.
Grants will cover travel costs and a monthly living allowance for a research stay at a Korean/Japanese university or research laboratory.
