By awarding AGORA grants, the SNSF aims to promote knowledge on the current state of scientific research and to foster dialogue between scientists and society in a two-way processes which generate dialogues between researchers and the public.
With this funding scheme SNSF funds projects of up to CHF 50,000 for a maximum of 3 years (Projects with a budget of up to CHF 200,000 need to be submitted by the Agora submission deadline on 1 September).
Researchers based in CH or doing their research abroad under an SNSF fellowship may submit an Agora application irrespective of their career level and their experience in science communication. The topic communicated by the Agora project must be clearly linked to recent research of the applicant(s).
The success rate for Agorà Rolling calls is more than 50%.
