ERC Advanced Grants are awarded to established, leading researchers in their field with an excellent track-record of research achievements in the last 10 years. ERC Grants support bottom-up projects with a high degree of novelty and with a high-risk/high-gain nature.
ERC Advanced Grants award up to € 2.5 million for a period of 5 years. Grants cover personnel costs, travel, equipment and other research costs. This scheme supports single Principal Investigators (no collaborations/consortia), of any age and nationality.
In light of the current situation and according to the Work Programme, Swiss participants will be treated as entities established in an Associated Country. As such, they can submit their proposal and be evaluated. Funding will come either from the European Union or from Switzerland.
