Ambizione grants are aimed at postdocs who wish to conduct an independent project at a Swiss university. They are awarded to excellent researchers with at least 12 months of postdoctoral research activity at a different institution from that of the PhD. Submission possible up to 4 years from PhD.
The grant is aimed at outstanding researchers who have not yet obtained a professorship. It supports them in achieving their goal as leaders of a funded research project with their own team at a Swiss higher education institution. The applicant’s salary and project costs are covered for 5 years.
