Doc.CH covers PhD’s salary and research costs. Eligible applicants are Swiss or have a Swiss degree or are already matriculated as PhD students in Switzerland. Mobility between BA and start of PhD is not required. Submission up to 3 years after master’s degree. Two supervisors are required.

Swissuniversities grants financial support for PhD theses conducted on the basis of a cooperation agreement between a Swiss and a partner university abroad. The max. amount of aid is 10k CHF and can cover travel and living expenses. Applicants must be matriculated as PhD students in Switzerland.

	Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Scholars (ESKAS)

ESKAS promote international exchange by supporting researchers from over 180 countries coming to Switzerland for a research period. Applicants cannot have been in CH more than 1 year at the beginning of the scholarship. The different types of scholarships on offer vary according to country of origin
