SNSF Consolidator Grants 2022 are aimed at highly qualified researchers who wish to consolidate their scientific independence and who want to conduct ground-breaking and ambitious research in Switzerland.
Applicants must have between 7 to 12 years of research experience after the PhD or MD-PhD. They have shown research independence and contributions to science without the participation of their PhD supervisor.
- Deadline: 1st of June 2022;- Internal Deadline (see below): 1st April, 2022;- Mandatory pre-registration: by the 2nd of May 2022 on mySNF, providing: summary of application, host institution, disciplines and keywords.
USI welcomes candidates who fit in the university’s scientific profile and display scientific independence, particularly coming from outside. Participants must send a complete CV + publication list, a cover motivation letter and letters of support from USI professors to SRIT by the 1st of April.
Budget up to 1.75 Mio CHF for a period of up to 5 years.Additional funding of up to CHF 870’000 may be requested for: - costs related to the move to CH; - acquisition/use of major equipment; - other major experimental and field work costs.
Eligible costs include: - personnel costs (including the PI’s salary);- material costs (eg. field expenses, travel costs, open data, IPR costs, …);Applicants are expected to devote at least 40% of their working time to the project.
