Following the current non-association to Horizon Europe and the exclusion of Swiss participants from mono-beneficiary grants, the SNSF has been mandated to continue its transitional measures “SNSF Advanced Grants” and “SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowships” for the year 2022 as well.
Open to experienced researchers of any nationality leaders in their field, who wish to conduct an innovative and high-risk project in Switzerland.
SNSF Advanced Grants projects can last for up to 5 years. The funding amounts to up CHF 2.5 million.
The call is open to young researchers with up to 8 years of experience after their PhD, who wish to consolidate their scientific career in Switzerland for 12-24 months.
SNSF PF projects can last between 12 to 24 months. The grant covers the fellow's salary with social security contributions, as well as research and conference costs of up to CHF 24'000.
The call is open to researchers of any nationality, who must not have resided or carried out their main activity in Switzerland for more than 12 months in the 36 months prior to the submission deadline.
