Swissuniversities has launched a series of Call for projects within the framework of the application of the Action Plan for the Swiss National Open Research Data strategy. The aim is to provide bottom-up support to promote excellence in ORD practices and community building.
This track encompasses early-phase exploration as well as the testing and prototyping of a potential ORD practice. It allows for engagement with a community without necessarily creating a final product. The objective is to help researchers explore if and how ORD practices can be developed.
The total cost of the project (including matching funds) must not exceed CHF 150,000. It provides funding for projects up to 18 months, max. until the end of 2024.
The goal is to support the anchoring of existing ORD practices that have a research agenda and a common understanding of ORD principles. It provides the opportunity to take these practices to the next level, improve their scope, and develop projects that can become standards in a community.
The total cost of the project (including matching funds) must not exceed CHF 1.5 million. This scheme provides funding for projects up to 24 months, max. until the end of 2024.
This track enables researchers to contribute to existing open communities built on ORD principles, validate their integration into existing infrastructures (also on an international scale), and focus on their potential to improve scientific impact and technical quality.
The total cost of the project (including matching funds) must not exceed CHF 30,000. This scheme finances projects up to 12 months, max. until the end of 2024.
