	swissuniversities - calls for Open Research Data projects

Swissuniversities has launched a series of Call for projects within the framework of the application of the Action Plan for the Swiss National Open Research Data strategy. The aim is to provide bottom-up support to promote excellence in ORD practices and community building.

	Track C: Contribute projects

Submission deadline: 1st December, 2022

This track enables researchers to contribute to existing open communities built on ORD principles, validate their integration into existing infrastructures (also on an international scale), and focus on their potential to improve scientific impact and technical quality.

Funding and duration

The total cost of the project (including matching funds) must not exceed CHF 30'000. This scheme finances projects up to 12 months, max. until the end of 2024.

	Track A: Explore projects

Submission deadline: 31 december, 2022

This track encompasses early-phase exploration as well as the testing and prototyping of a potential ORD practice. It allows for engagement with a community without necessarily creating a final product. The objective is to help researchers explore if and how ORD practices can be developed.

Funding and duration

The total cost of the project (including matching funds) must not exceed CHF 150'000. It provides funding for projects up to 18 months, max. until the end of 2024.

	DARIAH-CH Study Day


Thursday 20.10	Contact: Dr. Elena Chestnova (elena.chestnova@usi.ch) DARIAH-CH, the Swiss consortium of DARIAH (Digital Research Infrastructure for the Arts and Humanities) is organizing an event dedicated to the ongoing research in the broad field of Digital Humanities. The one-day event will be hosted by Mendrisio campus of the Università della Svizzera italiana from 10.45 to 18.30. The event will have a mixed structure, with plenary sessions, project presentations, infrastructure pitches and a poster session.
