The SNSF awards Sinergia grants to support collaborative, interdisciplinary projects involving breakthrough research.The Sinergia programme will than be integrated into project funding along with its budget. (deadlines: 1 April and 1 October)
The SNSF recommends that applicants start entering information in the SNSF Portal as soon as possible after the launch of the call. On the SNSF Portal, help texts offer detailed advice on how to write and submit a grant proposal. The language of the proposal must be English.
At least 2 and at the most 4 research groups can submit an application for a Sinergia grant.If there are 3 or more applicants, one applicant can be based abroad if their expertise is essential.
Applicants must be in a position to carry out research projects under their own responsibility andto lead project staff both scientifically and as employees.They must have a professorial position equivalent at least 50% FTE.
Funding is granted for one to four years with a budget between CHF 50’000 and CHF 3.2 million.
