	News on USI doctoral Mobility Regulations

Following the results of the survey addressed to PhD students, the Research Commission has updated the regulations for USI doctoral Mobility.

Mobility duration

The stay can be divided into two periods of at least 3 months each over a period of 18 months.

Submission deadlines

Two to four application deadlines are set per year. The next deadlines for the 2023 are: 1st January, 3rd April, 1st August, and 2nd October. Please to contact Janice Casarella at least 2 weeks before each deadline for questions and support.

Refunding

Actual costs are reimbursed within the USI "Disposizioni dull'indennità" regulation and up to CHF 20'000 CHF.

	Next submission deadline: 1st January 2023

The grant is not meant to replace the PhD salary

Funding and duration

The mobility can last between 6 and 12 months and has to be done within the PhD studies. Financial support covers the additional costs for staying abroad, such as travel and living costs as well as fees for conferences and workshops of up to CHF 20'000. Click here to find more information.

Thursday 24.11	In order to answer to the questions from PhD students on how to participate to this scheme, the Research and Transfer Service is organizing an on-line information meeting, Thursday 24.11 from 12.30 to 13.00. The president of USI Research Commission Prof. Gagliardini and Prof. Lepori will shortly present the scheme and answer to your questions.
