The Research and Transfer Service is providing dedicated support to doctoral students who wish to improve their scientific profile, through call for applications as USI Doctoral Mobility, Coutelle de thèse and SNSF Mobility Opportunities.
USI provides support to doctoral students matriculated at the Università della Svizzera italiana who wish to improve their scientific profile by going abroad for a stay of 6-12 months during the PhD.
Swissuniversities grants financial support for PhD theses conducted on the basis of a cooperation agreement between a Swiss and a partner university abroad. The max. amount of aid is 10k CHF and can cover travel and living expenses. Applicants must be matriculated as PhD students in Switzerland.
Mobility grants in projects are aimed at doctoral students who wish to improve their scientific profile by going abroad while being employed in an ongoing SNSF research project.A mobility grant can cover travel and living costs as well as fees for conferences and workshops for 6-12 months.
