Innosuisse is the Swiss Innovation Agency. Its role is to promote science-based innovation in the interest of the economy and society in Switzerland. To this aim, Innosuisse provides funding for collaborative research between public research and companies.
For science-based innovation projects carried out by research institutions with or without implementation partner (particularly SMEs) in all subject areas. Innosuisse covers the research partner’s salary and some small research costs, while the company provides at least the same amount of funding.
Innosuisse funds innovation projects proposed by researchers who have not yet found a company to implement the results. In particular it supports highly innovative yet risky projects.
