SNSF Ambizione grants fund promising postdocs of any nationality with 1 to 4 years’ experience after the PhD and from any research field.These fellowships represent an excellent opportunity to attract talented researchers in your team!
To receive the institutional support, interested candidates must first submit their dossier (CV with publication list, motivation letter and letter of support) by the 15th of September for an internal assessment by the Rectorate.
Preference will be given to external candidates or internal ones who did not obtain their PhD at USI, with a strong profile and outstanding early stage track record. USI does not consider applications from researchers whose entire academic career (from doctorate onwards) is internal.
- Hold a PhD or have completed their medical studies;- Applications may be submitted no later than 4 years after completing the PhD or after 3 years of work after competing medical studies;- Research activities of at least 12 months after the PhD, respectively after the medical license.
The grant covers the salary of the applicant and project costs, such as travel, equipment, field expenses. Research funds may not exceed CHF 400,000 for a four-year project duration.
