Agora funds the interaction between scientists and the general public. It motivates researchers to present their ongoing studies to a non-expert audience, establishing a live exchange where researchers and the public engage in active conversations.
On Tuesday, July 2, from 13:00 – 15:00, the SNSF will be at the auditorium USI to present the Project Funding and the Agora funding schemes. The event is open to all researchers in the Ticino area. Registration is free, but compulsory.
SNSF Agora awards grants from CHF 5’000 to CHF 200'000 for small communication formats or larger-scale initiatives, for up to 3 years.Projects with a budget between CHF 5'000 and CHF 50'000 can also be submitted all year round.
Applicants must be employed at least 20% at a Swiss higher education or research institution.The SNSF advises involving a communication expert from outside the university as co-applicant.
- Costs for the development and realisation of the project (e.g. personnel, fees, materials, production costs, project management, project partner costs);- Advertising and distribution costs;- Subcontracting;- Costs for the publication and communication of the product resulting from the project.
