On behalf of the federal government, the SNSF is planning to launch another call for SNSF Advanced Grants in 2023. More updates will follow soon. The following information is provisional.
The SNSF Advanced call is aimed at established researchers with an outstanding track-record over the last 10 years. It is open to researchers of any nationality from any discipline and topic. Advanced grants fund bottom-up, high-risk/high-gain projects conducted in Switzerland.
The new Advanced Grants 2023 call is expected to open in November 2023 with deadline in January 2024.
Based on last year’s call regulations, SNSF Advanced Grants are awarded up to a maximum of CHF 2.175 million for a period of up to 5 years. Budget covers applicant’s salary, personnel costs, equipment, travel costs, research costs.
SNSF Advanced Grants do not count in the maximum 3 project funding for each researcher.Applicants are not allowed to participate as principal investigators in any ERC grant project and an SNSF Advanced Grant in parallel.
