Ambizione grants support promising postdocs from any discipline with 1 to 4 years’ experience after the PhD. These grants allow them to consolidate their autonomy by leading an independent project. These fellowships represent an excellent opportunity to attract talented researchers in your team!
Interested candidates must send their CV (incl. publication list), motivation letter and letter of support from the host professor to servizio.ricerca@usi.ch by 30 August 2024. The Rectorate will assess the internal candidatures and decide on the institutional support.
Preference will be given to external candidates or internal ones who did not obtain their PhD at USI, with a strong profile and outstanding early stage track record. USI does not consider applications from researchers whose entire academic career (from the doctorate onwards) has been at USI.
At the call deadline (1 November 2024), applicants must have:- PhD, or completed medical studies;- Submissions no later than 4 years after completing the PhD, or after 3 years of work after the medical studies;- Research activities of at least 1 year after the PhD, or after the medical licence.
Ambizione grants cover 100% of the applicant’s salary plus max. CHF 400’000 of research funds (including travel, equipment, field expenses, …). Duration: max. 4 years.
