Can Switzerland participate in European Partnerships?

Yes, CH-based researchers can participate in the European partnerships listed below. They can even lead a consortium. Projects must involve at least 3 different countries participating in the call. The Swiss budget is covered by the SNSF, Innosuisse or a Federal Office.

Driving Urban Transitions (DUT)

For research and innovation projects that tackle urban challenges towards a more sustainable economy. The call addresses the following topics: Circular Urban Economies, 15-minute City and Positive Energy Districts. The CH budget is covered by SNSF, Innosuisse. Do not miss the webinar on 10 Sep 2024.

Biodiversa+

For research and innovation projects to identify, analyse, and comprehend transformation processes that may halt and reverse biodiversity decline. The CH budget is covered by the SNSF. Do not miss the webinar on 24 Sep 2024.

Call opens: 12 Sep 2024; Pre-proposals: 13 November 2024

Water4All

For research and innovation projects to improve water security in the long term. The call topics are: Enhancement of water circularity in industries, Urban water circularity, Resource recovery and valorization, Economic, environmental implications. The CH budget is covered by the SNSF.

Call opens: November 2024

Transforming Health and Care Systems (THCS)

For research and innovation projects that facilitate the digitization of health and care services and support the transformation of health and care systems with innovative solutions driven by knowledge and evidence. The CH budget is covered by SNSF, Innosuisse or the Federal Office of Public Health.

Call opens: January 2025

European Rare Diseases Research Alliance (ERDERA)

For projects across all medical areas that contribute to the understanding of the causes and characteristics of rare diseases, to develop new diagnostics and therapies for patients and to promote best practices for use in hospitals and healthcare systems. The CH budget is covered by the SNSF.
