For excellent postdoctoral researchers of any nationality who wish to pursue a research and training stay in CH with a project in any discipline. Applicants who intended to apply for an EU Marie Skłodowska-Curie Postdoctoral Fellowships to come to CH can participate in this call.
Proposals must be submitted within 8 years after the obtainment of the PhD or MD-PhD. Applicants should not have worked or lived in Switzerland for more than 1 year within the 3 years prior to the call deadline.
The grant covers the fellow’s salary + max. CHF 24’000 for project funds for up to 24 months. In principle, the fellowship is awarded for a continuous stay in CH. However, a stay at a second host institution in CH or abroad is possible for up to a 1/3 of the project duration.
The call is now open and will close on 2 December 2024 at 17:00. Proposals will be evaluated between February and May 2025. Final decisions will be communicated in June 2025. Projects can start between 1 July 2025 and 1 July 2026.
Applicants, who have identified a professor who is willing to host them and their project at USI, must send the “Support letter from the supervisor” to servizio.ricerca@usi.ch by 15.11.2024 to obtain the “Confirmation from the host institution” required by the SNSF.
You can resubmit your application if it was rejected at the 2021 / 2022 SNSF Swiss Postdoctoral Fellowships call or if you got an evaluation score of at least 6.3 at the 2023 call.
