A Data Management Plan (DMP) is a document that outlines how data are collected, managed, curated, preserved and shared during a research project, and after the project is complete.Nowadays, entire research communities consider the DMP as an essential tool for scientific production.
Drafting a DMP before data are collected is an important task for every researcher because it allows to envision the data lifecycle since the very beginning of a research project.DMPs are now requested by main funding agencies such as SNSF and European Commission before the release of funds.
USI Research Service supports researchers in drafting DMPs both organizing dedicated workshops and helping users upon request. The next workshop dedicated to SNSF DMP drafting will be held online on 31 October 2024, 15:30-16:30.
Register now for the course “Advanced Skills for Research Data Management and Open Science in Social Sciences” held at USI on 25-29 November 2024.This program equips young researchers in social sciences with the knowledge and practical tools to excel in today's data-driven research landscape.
