The Swiss National Science Foundation and Innosuisse are launching a joint call in the quantum domain as part of the BRIDGE funding programme, with a total budget of CHF 20 million to support application-driven quantum research in Switzerland.
This thematic call, part of BRIDGE Discovery funding, targets innovative projects in quantum technologies with a clear path to practical application and future valorisation, in areas like computing, simulation, communication, sensing, and enabling technologies relevant for Swiss industry and society
- For independent scientists- Individual & consortia max 5 applicants, based at CH research institutions (unis, ETH, UAS, etc.)- At least 50% FTE employment in CH is required for each applicant- Up to one non-CH partner may be included - Projects must build on peer-reviewed reviewed results
- Max. CHF 850,000 per applicant, up to CHF 2.55 million total per project- Project duration: up to 4 years- Infrastructure costs capped at 40% of the budget- For projects shorter than 4 years, the maximum amount is reduced proportionally
The call is open from 25 June to 16 September 2025 (17:00 CEST). Evaluation will take place in autumn, with decisions expected by early 2026. Projects can start shortly after approval.
