Start now preparing your Project Funding application to get funding for your independent research on the topic of your choice. Applications can be submitted by experienced researchers, employed at least at 50% at a Swiss institution for the duration of the project.
• Increased funding for equipment and material of enduring value (it was CHF 100K, now it's max. 300K). The host institution must contribute at least 50% of total costs in excess of CHF 100K.• Proposals evaluated by thematic panels.• Resubmissions now treated as first-time applications.
• For individual projects: max. CHF 250K per person per year (i.e. CHF 1M for 4 years)• For collaborative projects: max. CHF 1M per project per year (i.e. CHF 4M for 4 years) to be shared as you wish among the applicants (exception: applicants abroad cannot get more than their mathematical share)
Collaborations are possible with countries in the Weave, Lead Agency or International Co-Investigator Scheme list. To involve other countries, you need yet another applicant in CH. Alternatively, you can include the researcher abroad as "project partner". 1/4 of the funded projects are collaborative
The application form is now available on the SNSF portal. All applicants and project partners need to create an account and link it to their mySNF and SWITCH edu-ID profile before they can contribute to the application and fill out their CV.
