Financial support of up to CHF 20,000 for USI doctoral students (not employed in ongoing SNSF projects) to carry out a 6–12 month research stay abroad during their PhD. The grant covers travel, living expenses, and conference/workshop fees. Applicants must have a USI-employed supervisor.
Swissuniversities supports co-supervision of PhD theses between a Swiss University and others abroad (Europe/Israel). The funding covers up to CHF 10’000 for travel and living expenses of both the PhD student and the PhD supervisors. Applicants must be enrolled or employed at a Swiss institution.
Mobility Grants in projects are intended for PhD students employed in an ongoing SNSF project who wish to conduct research abroad for a period of 6 to 12 months. The funding can cover travel expenses, living costs, fees for conferences and workshops, up to a maximum of CHF 20'000.
Seed funding for collaborations between researchers in Switzerland and Africa. Final-year PhD students eligible. Applicants must have 3–5 years of postdoc experience and be affiliated with a Swiss institution. Max budget per project: CHF 25,000. Duration: 3–12 months.
