The Swiss Data Science Center (SDSC) is a National Research Infrastructure supporting data science (DS) and AI in Switzerland.SDSC launches its second National Calls for projects set to begin in 2026.Calls open on Tuesday, 9 September 2025.
This call is dedicated to collaborative data science projects benefiting from the in-kind involvement of an SDSC data scientist contributing advanced competences in statistical data science, machine learning, AI, computer vision, or NLP, toward the development of specific models or algorithms.
The call aims to ensure that novelty developed in an academic or research context achieves its full potential in end-user contexts.SDSC supports collaborations aimed at:• industrialization of research prototypes;• adoption of data science solutions in public sector;• translation of ML models.
This call welcomes community-driven projects to create, extend, or prototype data science infrastructures in line with the FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) principles.
Timelines are call-specific:• Pre-proposal submission: 15 Oct 2025 / 27 Oct 2025 • Invitation to submit full proposals: 20 Nov 2025 / 19 Dec 2025• Submission of full proposals: 31 Jan 2026 / 27 Feb 2026• Final decision: 30 Apr 2026 / 19 Jun 2026• Start of projects: Jun 2026 / Sep-Dec 2026
