| How to budget personnel costs All Innosuisse Innovation Projects submitted allow staff costs to be charged to the project. Salaries must be calculated using the hourly rates approved by Innosuisse, which have now been updated for USI. You can find them on the application platform (InnoLink) and below. |

| USI hourly rates Approved hourly rates for USI staff: - CHF 113 for institute / department heads, - CHF 79 for senior scientists & team leads, - CHF 56 for scientific staff, - CHF 45 for technical specialists, - CHF 33 for PhD candidates and assistants.
A 20% employer contribution is added on top of salaries. |

| Projects with implementation partner Projects with an implementation partner can be submitted at any time. Proposals are evaluated continuously, giving researchers and Swiss-based companies the flexibility to align submission with project readiness. |

|
| Innocheque The Innocheque offers up to CHF 15,000 for feasibility studies, technology assessments, or proof-of-concept validation with a Swiss research partner. All applications must be submitted via the InnoLink platform. Conditions remain unchanged. |

|
| Projects without implementation partner It is still possible to apply without an implementation partner. This track mainly supports early-stage innovation and proof-of-concept projects. Starting from 2026, the instrument will likely be integrated into a renewed BRIDGE programme. |

|
| Innosuisse bilateral programmes - Call with Korea (KIAT): opens February 2026 and supports Swiss Korean collaborative innovation projects. - Call with United Kingdom (InnovateUK): opens July 2026 and supports Swiss UK collaborative innovation projects. - Call with Germany (IraSME): paused for 2026.
