Don’t miss out the next call for Bridge Proof of Concept (POC). The call is aimed at young researchers, who have an idea for developing their research findings into innovative products or services. It offers you the funding necessary to test and refine your ideas.

- Researchers, who have completed the PhD within the last 4 years or will do so in the next 6 months.
- Projects must be based on the applicant’s research and hosted by a Swiss research institution.

- USI needs to support the applicant for the duration of the project.
- Contact your host professor and the Research Service as soon as possible.

- Up to CHF 130'000 for your salary and project-related costs.
- Duration of 12 months, with a possible 6-month no-cost extension.

BRIDGE PoC call offers 4 submission windows per year.
- USI internal deadline: 20 February 2026
- Call deadline: 2 March 2026
- Interviews:11/12 May 2026
- Decision: June 2026
- Start date: earliest July 2026 (latest within 6 months).

- Individuals or consortia (max 3 applicants from different research groups).
- Employed min. 50% at a research institution in CH. If your contract does not cover the project’s duration, contact servizio.ricerca@usi.ch.
- Applicants must be able to conduct research independently.

Up to CHF 850’000 for 4 years, covering personnel cost and research costs.

The 10th Call BRIDGE Discovery (annual call)
- USI internal deadline: 14 April 2026
- Deadline: 28 April 2026
- Interviews: 15-16 October 2026
- Decision: December 2026
- Start date: Earliest February 2027 (latest within 6 months).

- If your project is shortlisted, the evaluation panel will invite you for an interview.
- Your presentation must take the form of a pitch that is understandable for non -experts in the field.
- It must also outline your implementation plan and the roles of different partners during the project.
