| Scope of the programme The DEP is a EU funding prog. (EUR 8.1B) aimed at accelerating the digital in the EU addressing the following specific objectives (SO):
SO1 High Performance Computing
SO2 AI
SO3 Cybersecurity & Trust
SO4 Advanced Digital Skills
SO5 Deployment, accelerating best use of technologies
SO6 Semiconductors |

| Swiss participation Swiss organizations are fully eligible to participate as "beneficiaries" (including as coordinators) in all SO except for SO3 (Cybersecurity) and SO6 (Semiconductors) for which participation is limited to EU Member States & European Economic Area countries. |

| Funding for the Swiss part CH participants receive funding directly from the EU (e.g., usually 50% funding rate). For DEP calls where the EU funding rate is less than 100% or where a national contribution is mandatory, SERI can provide national co-funding upon notification of participation via dedicated online form. |

| Evaluation criteria The proposal should be clear, measurable, realistic & achievable with well-defined concept & convincing arguments:
• Relevance - alignment with the objectives & activities
• Implementation - capacity to carry out the proposed work
• Impact - how the project will bring benefits for society.
