| Scientific Exchanges (SE) SE are aimed at CH-based researchers who want to invite colleagues from abroad for a research visit in CH, visit their colleagues in another country or host their own scientific event in CH. |

APPLY 4-12 months before the SE | |

|---|
| Who can apply? Employed at a CH university/research institution at min. 20% for the duration of the grant and the subsequent 6 months (from 2027 this also applies to SE events). SE visits: both host and guest must hold a PhD. SE events are also open to PhD students. |

| Funding and duration • SE events cover max. CHF 200/day + travel per speaker from abroad; max. CHF 2’500 per half day for max. 5 days. • SE visits cover max. CHF 3’000/month + travel for a research stay abroad or to invite a guest in CH for 1-6 months. Total: CHF 2'500-25'000 + costs for accompanying children. |

| New rules from 2027 • 1 SE grant (event or visit) per calendar year (until 2026, 2 parallel SE grants – event + visit – are allowed). • Visits cannot start before the grant. • Series of events are supported every 3 years. • If 500+ participants, training or teaching, the event is NOT eligible. |
