NRPs fund transdisciplinary and practice-oriented research addressing societal challenges. Cooperation and knowledge transfer with practitioners are of great importance. Every year, the Federal Council decides on the topic and tasks the SNSF to manage the calls. Applications for 3 new NRPs are open!

Researchers with min. 4 years’ experience after PhD + min. 50% employment at a CH research institute. Co-applicants abroad (max. 30% budget) only with prior approval from the SNSF. Project partners (max. 20% budget), including at least 1-2 non-academic partners, can be based anywhere in the world.

With a total allocation of CHF 6.25M, this NRP will fund research that improves the evidence base on the uptake of prevention and early intervention approaches for adolescent mental health in CH.
Funding per project: CHF 250K-900K for 3-4 years. Co-funding encouraged.

CHF 4.25M for 5-10 interdisciplinary research projects improving the knowledge base on vulnerabilities and risks from cyberattacks to CH critical infrastructure. Solutions must be technically viable and socially acceptable.
Funding per project: CHF 300K-800K for 18-36 months. Co-funding encouraged.

CHF 4.25M for 5-10 research projects generating actionable knowledge and solution-oriented options and tools that help CH cope with deglobalisation and supply chain disruptions while maintaining competitiveness and well-being.
Funding per project: CHF 300K-500K for 3 years. Co-funding encouraged.
