| For talented early-career researchers MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships support young researchers in any discipline to carry out their research abroad. For European Fellowship (EF) the research must be in EU/CH. For Global Fellowship (GF) the research must be in a Third Country with a mandatory return phase in EU/CH. Success rate ~ 9.6%

| Objectives of the calls These calls boost researchers’ careers & drive excellence in research. They provide a valuable chance to develop new skills, gain international experience & expand professional networks. During the fellowship, grantees may also complete a secondment outside academia, unlocking fresh perspectives. |

| Funding and duration The grant covers, according to EU flat rates, the following costs: • living (adjusted through the country correction coefficient) • relocation (“mobility”) • family costs (if applicable) • project related & training costs. The grant includes overheads (€650/pm).
Duration: • 1-2 yr. EF • 2-3 yr. GF

| Evaluation criteria • EXCELLENCE 50%: level of ambition, proposed methodology, supervision's quality, researcher’s experience • IMPACT 30%: quality & sustainability diss. & com, IPR management, career perspective • IMPLEMENTATION 20%: work plan, host arrangements. Resubmission is allowed for proposals rated above 80%

| Choose Switzerland to implement your project EF, one of the MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowships, is open to applicants of any nationality, moving within EU Member State (MS) or Associated Country (AC), including CH, or coming to MS/AC from another part of the world to pursue their research projects for 12-24 months in a selected institution. |

| Who can apply For applicants who have a PhD at the call deadline & have no more than 8 yr. of research experience after PhD. Applicants must not have lived, worked, or studied in the country of the future host institution for more than 12 months during the 3 yr. prior to call deadline (Mobility Rule). |

| Implement your project outside EU-CH GF, the other MSCA Postdoctoral Fellowship, is open to applicants, EU/CH nationals or long-term residents, moving outside EU/CH to pursue their projects for 2-3 yr. The first 1-2 yr. will be spent in a TC. A return phase of 1 yr. in EU/CH is mandatory. CH entities can host the return phase only. |
