The Bridge PoC call is designed for young researchers. This program empowers you to transform your academic research findings into highly innovative products or services. It provides the essential financial support needed to thoroughly test your ideas.

Who can apply

You are eligible if you earned your Bachelor or Master degree less than 4 years ago, or if you will complete your PhD within 6 months or finished it in the last 4 years. Your project must be strongly based on your own research efforts and hosted by an eligible Swiss institution.

 

USI internal deadline: 17 November 2026

Host institution support

USI is required to formally guarantee support to the applicant for the entire duration of the project. Please note that you must apply personally. We urge you to contact your host professor and the Research Service as early as possible to prepare the mandatory confirmation letters.

 

Funding and duration

Successful grantees will receive up to CHF 130’000 per year to fully cover their salary and any project-related costs. The funding duration is 12 months + 6 months possible extension. Moreover, you will gain access to the Innosuisse Entrepreneurship Training to boost your business skills.
