Navigating the Innosuisse landscape

Welcome to this special edition on Innosuisse funding. With record application volumes, securing grants demands a flawless strategy. Read on for critical updates on national calls and bilateral opportunities. Innosuisse is the perfect instrument to start applying your research to the market!

Innosuisse 2025: record demand

With a record 832 applications, Innosuisse is processing an unprecedented volume of requests. While funding is available, success requires strategy. Look directly at the data portal before applying to get an insight into success rates and craft an evidence-based proposal

New tranche payment structure

As of April 1, 2026, Innosuisse updated its payment structure for newly approved projects to better align funding with actual progress. The new payment split is 35% / 35% / 30%, replacing the old 50/30/20 model. Please note that ongoing projects remain unaffected by this change.

Innosuisse funding opportunities

Innocheque

This rolling call offers SMEs up to CHF 15’000 to fund feasibility studies or proof-of-concept validations with a Swiss research partner. It is the perfect, low-risk entry point to test your idea's market potential before launching a full-scale Innovation Project. Apply anytime.

Rolling call

Projects with implementation partner

This instrument funds science-based joint R&D to transform research into novel, market-ready products or services. Proposals with an industry partner can be submitted anytime. Continuous evaluation gives you the flexibility to align your submission perfectly with project readiness.

Rolling call

Projects without implementation partner

It is still possible to apply without an implementation partner. This track mainly supports early-stage innovation and proof-of-concept projects. Starting from 2027, the instrument will likely be integrated into a renewed BRIDGE programme. More details to follow in October.
