For all calls in 2021, Switzerland will be treated as a non-associated third country for the submission of project proposals in Horizon Europe and other related programmes and initiatives (Euratom and Digital Europe programmes).This status can be changed at any time.
Participation to collaborative projects is possible (except for assuming coordination roles in the project) and funding will be provided directly by CH. The consortium still has to meet the call requirements.
Switzerland does not have access to ERC grants and mobility actions (MSCA).Exceptional rules apply to the 2021 calls of the ERC Starting Grants and the ERC Consolidator Grants, which are already closed. Proposals submitted by a PI based at a Swiss host institution will be evaluated.
The Swiss Confederation is envisaging the set-up of parallel schemes with similar funding conditions as, for example, ERC grants, but details are not yet published.Click here to find more information.
