The European Commission has launched the second call for Expression of Interest for innovative and rapid health-related approaches to address the COVID-19 pandemic. The focus is not to develop new diagnostics, therapeutics or vaccines, but rather to complete and deploy available solutions.
- Repurposing of manufacturing for vital medical supplies and equipment;- Medical technologies, Digital tools and AI analytics to improve surveillance and care at high TRLs;- Behavioral, social and economic impacts of the outbreak response;- Pan-European COVID-19 cohorts.
Collaborative projects: international, multidisciplinary consortia of minimum 3 partners from 3 EU countries are required. Budget: depending on topic, from 2 to 10 mio EUR. Duration: Around 2 years as projects are expected to deliver early results, and fast time-to-market products.
