Dear Digital Fashion Communication Community, With this special issue, we are happy to announce a unique opportunity: The Southern Summer School "Digital Communication of indigenous African heritage and fashion", which will take place in Namibia from February 9th to 15th, 2020.
The Southern Summer School, the first of its kind, is organised in collaboration with the University of Namibia and the University of Turku (Finland). The School is supported by Windhoek Fashion Week, Ancient History Encyclopedia, IFITT and Eduix. The application deadline is November 24, 2019.
The aim of the Southern Summer School is to investigate how digital technologies could be leveraged to communicate, promote and market African fashion designs and cultural tourism. Additionally, it aims to inspire participants to work with local stakeholders from cultural tourism and fashion.
