Nonostante le difficoltà causate dalla pandemia, continuiamo il nostro lavoro per supportare gli studenti dell’USI a pianificare la propria carriera e ad entrare in contatto con potenziali futuri employer. In questi mesi abbiamo proposto e continuiamo a proporre molte opportunità per investire sul proprio futuro, grazie all’impegno e alla disponibilità delle realtà professionali con cui collaboriamo. Ci auguriamo che presto questa situazione possa migliorare per tutti ma ci auguriamo anche che questo tempo sia stato comunque produttivo per il futuro dei nostri studenti.

6a edizione dell'evento annuale dedicato all'incontro on campus con oltre 60 aziende e 200 professionisti: l'occasione per studenti e laureati USI di raccogliere idee e spunti, incontrare potenziali datori di lavoro, instaurare contatti e affinare le proprie abilità di candidatura in un ambiente informale, rilassato e piacevole.

L’USI comprende che nelle circostanze attuali potrebbe essere difficile per gli studenti trovare uno stage curricolare o continuare quello che hanno già iniziato. Il Rettorato ha deciso che tali condizioni esterne non devono avere un impatto negativo sulla possibilità per gli studenti di completare il loro programma in tempo. I Direttori dei programmi hanno quindi la possibilità di assegnare incarichi ad hoc agli studenti al fine di ottenere i crediti che non possono ricevere attraverso lo stage.

A tutti gli studenti con uno stage obbligatorio previsto nel percorso di studi è stata inviata una breve indagine per capire come poter risolvere situazioni intaccate dalle restrizioni imposte dalla pandemia. Se siete in stage/dovete fare uno stage e non avete ricevuto l'indagine contattateci per trovare la migliore soluzione.

Se il vostro programma prevede uno stage curricolare e se avete avuto problemi a svolgerlo a causa della pandemia Covid-19, l’USI vi dà la possibilità di sostituire o integrare lo stage con una attività alternativa. Verificate quali alternative allo stage curricolare è possibile svolgere.

L'agenzia nazionale Movetia ha confermato che il principio di "forza maggiore" creato dell'emergenza Covid-19 si applica anche alle borse SEMP per stage all’estero. Potete trovare in modo dettagliato tutte le casistiche possibili sul nostro sito. Contattateci se state usufruendo di una Borsa SEMP e il vostro stage è stato interrotto, bloccato o sospeso.

Nonostante il periodo particolare che stiamo vivendo ed l'incertezza che il mondo del lavoro sta vivendo a causa della pandemia in corso, le offerte di stage e lavoro continuano a venir puntualmente pubblicate nella nostra banca dati online (CareerGate), sempre accessibile da studenti e laureati USI. Controllate le nuove offerte di queste settimane.

Il nostro Servizio continua ad aiutarti a preparare il dossier di candidatura: è possibile richiedere un CV Check o una consulenza individuale, che verranno svolti online, in video chiamata e su appuntamento.

Le aziende continuano a offrire stage? Continuano a cercare talenti in università? Il Servizio carriere ha inviato un questionario a oltre 50 aziende con cui collabora più strettamente e la risposta è stata positiva: la maggioranza delle aziende continua a lavorare (86.5%), di queste quasi la metà non ha interrotto il recruiting, in particolare 3/4 hanno posizioni aperte di stage e lavoro, soprattutto nelle aree Finance & Accounting e Information Technologies.

Il prossimo semestre avvieremo un progetto di mentoring professionale per le studentesse di Master, in collaborazione con il Servizio pari opportunità e l’associazione BPW (Business Professional Women). Come Mentor, oltre 20 professioniste attive in Ticino con esperienza in diversi ruoli, settori e realtà professionali.

L’USI partecipa, insieme ad altre 17 università/scuole universitarie in Svizzera partner del gruppo CSNCH (Career Services Network Switzerland), all’indagine presso oltre 180'000 studenti sulle aspettative di carriera. In autunno gli studenti USI riceveranno il questionario.

A maggio sarà pubblicato il lavoro che come Servizio carriere abbiamo realizzato in collaborazione con l'Ufficio di Statistica Cantonale e la SUPSI e dal titolo "Dalle scuole universitarie svizzere al mondo del lavoro" che analizza l'ingresso nel mondo del lavoro, ad un anno dalla laurea, dei Ticinesi e dei laureati USI e SUPSI. Tutti i dettagli saranno disponibili sul nostro sito.

Anche quest’anno vengono coinvolti oltre 20 alumni che hanno svolto un Master all’USI per portare la propria testimonianza di studio e lavoro durante la settimana di "porte aperte" virtuale dei Master. Per favorire il networking tra studenti e laureati dello stesso Paese e promuovere l’integrazione con i 33 Chapter Alumni già esistenti nel mondo, sono stati avviati i Chapter degli Studenti Internazionali (sono oltre 90 i paesi di provenienza degli studenti USI). Si sono incontrati già gruppi di studenti da Cina, India, Iran, Germania e in programmazione USA, Russia e Romania.

Continuano gli incontri di networking degli USI Alumni Chapters, gruppi di alumni USI che vivono e lavorano nella stessa area geografica e che vogliono rimanere in contatto tra di loro e con l'USI.
Gli incontri sono aperti a tutti i laureati e gli studenti dell'USI che visitano, si trasferiscono o sono interessati alla specifica area geografica. Il prossimo meeting si terrà a fine settembre a Berna, dove oggi lavorano 90 laureati USI. L’evento verrà ospitato dall'Amministrazione Federale in presenza di Can Tutumlu (laureato USI in Economia nel 2000) oggi Capo sezione - DFAE, che racconterà la sua esperienza professionale di diplomatico. Despite the difficulties caused by the pandemic, we continue to support USI students plan their careers and get in touch with potential future employers. In recent months we have proposed and continue to offer students many opportunities to invest in their future careers, thanks to the commitment and availability of our professional partners. Now in its 6th year, this annual event brings on campus over 60 companies and 200 professionals: an opportunity for USI students and alumni to share ideas and meet potential employers, establish contacts and test their candidacy skills in an informal, relaxed and friendly environment.

USI understands that under the current circumstances it might be difficult for students to find a curricular internship, or to continue the ones they already started. The rectorate has determined that such external conditions should not delay a student's academic path. Programme directors will be assigning ad-hoc activities to students to allow them in earning the required internship credits.

A short survey was sent to all students for whom an internship is mandatory to understand how to deal with situations affected by the restrictions imposed by the pandemic. If you are currently in an internship or required to do an internship and have not received the survey, contact us so that we can work together to find the best solution.

If your programme includes a curricular internship and you have had problems completing it due to the Covid-19 pandemic, USI gives you the opportunity to replace/integrate the internship with a validated alternative activity. Check online to find alternatives to your internship and how to validate them.

The National Agency Movetia has confirmed that the principle of “force majeure/emergency situation” due to the Covid-19 emergency can be applied to the SEMP grants for placement.
All options can be found in detail on our website. Contact us if you have a SEMP scholarship and your internship has been put on hold, blocked or suspended.

Despite the difficult period we face and the uncertainty that the world of work is experiencing during the current pandemic, our job and internship offers are still published on our online database (CareerGate), which is constantly updated and accessible. Our Service continues to help you prepare your application dossier: you can request a CV Check or a one to one counselling session, which will be carried out online, by video call.

Are companies continuing to offer internships? Are they still recruiting university talents? The Career Service has sent a questionnaire to over 50 companies among our close collaborators and the response has been positive: the majority of companies continue to work (86.5%), of these nearly half have not stopped recruiting, in particular 3/4 have open internship and job positions, especially in the Finance & Accounting and Information Technology areas.

A professional mentoring project for female Master students will be launched next semester, in collaboration with the Equal Opportunities Service and the BPW (Business Professional Women) association. Over 20 professionals, active in Ticino, with experience in different roles, sectors and companies will act as mentors.

USI is taking part, together with 17 other Swiss universities/professional schools partners of the CSNCH (Career Services Network Switzerland) group, in a survey on career expectations which will be sent to over 180,000 students. In autumn, USI students will receive the questionnaire.

The report "From Swiss universities to the world of work" prepared by USI Career Services in collaboration with the Cantonal Statistics Office and SUPSI will be published in May. The study analyses student experiences entering the work force one year after their graduation. The study includes students from Ticino and from the two Universities based in Ticino, USI and SUPSI. Details will be available on our website.

Again this year, more than 20 alumni who earned their Master's degree at USI will share their stories of study and work during the week of virtual "open doors". Alumni videos will be available on our website in the career stories section. See which graduates are participating.

During the spring graduation ceremonies of economics and communication, alumni of the two faculties will be virtually present to greet the new community of recent graduates with a video testimony of their career after USI. Check our website for the date/time and join to hear their stories!

To promote networking between students and graduates from the same country and to promote integration with the 33 Chapter Alumni already existing in the world, new USI Chapters of International Students have been launched (there are students from over 90 countries at USI ). Student groups from China, India, Iran, Germany have already met. The upcoming events will be for USA, Russia and Romania student chapters.

USI Alumni Chapters are groups of USI graduates who live and work in the same area, willing to get to know and stay in touch with each other and with USI. The meetings are open to all USI graduates and students who visit, relocate or are interested in the specific geographical area. The next meeting will be held at the end of September in Bern, where 90 USI graduates work today. The event will be hosted by the Swiss Federal Administration with the presence of Can Tutumlu (USI graduate in Economics 2000), today Head of Section - FDFA, who will chat about his professional experience as a diplomat.
