The Chair is honored to have received its renewal for four more years by UNESCO. Approved in 2013, the Chair is now nine years old, ready to perform extensive research and teaching for the next four years!

USI offers a Master in International Tourism, run by the Faculty of Communication, Culture and Society in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics. The Master has several collaborations with the UNESCO Chair. Applications for the coming academic year are open!

Workshop "Governing Heritage and Creativity"

The event was held in Rome at Istituto Svizzero from April 4 to 5. It was a collaborative initiative by the EPFL, University of Geneva, Swiss Federal Office of Culture, ICCROM and Istituto Svizzero. Prof. Cantoni and dott. De Ascaniis participated and presented about the Chair's activities.

Successful PhD Defence: Rafael Oliveira

Congratulations to Rafael Oliveira, who finished his PhD journey in March 2022! Rafael worked on the development of a model of cultural sustainability indicators for the management of tangible and intangible heritage, mainly in tourist places enlisted as World Heritage Sites.
