La comunità alumni USI a quota quasi 12'000

La comunità alumni continua a crescere! Nella sessione di laurea di autunno, sono oltre 400 i nuovi laureati che entrano, in automatico, nel network USI Alumni. Questo permette di poter restare in contatto sia con l’USI sia con gli ex compagni di classe. Guarda qui gli altri vantaggi.

Indagine sugli sbocchi professionali 2022

Il 98% dei laureati USI è occupato

Dall’indagine a 5 anni dalla laurea (classe 2017) risulta che il 97.8% ha un’occupazione. Al 60.5% in Svizzera, 22.2% in Italia e 17.2% nel resto del mondo. Il risultato di questa indagine, la 19ma, è in linea con le precedenti, confermando l’ottimo inserimento nel mondo del lavoro dei laureati USI.

Alumni alle cerimonie di laurea

Come consuetudine anche gli ex studenti partecipano alle cerimonie di laurea portando la propria testimonianza a favore dei laureandi e le proprie famiglie. Questa volta sono stati Emanuele Mazziotta (ECO), Elena Spigarelli e Therry Dime (COM) e Giacomo Inches (INF) a intervenire.

Nuovi chapters USI Alumni nel mondo

Attivati nuovi chapters USI Alumni nel mondo. A New York, Tommaso Cancellara (Com, 2004) ha riattivato il Chapter, Juliet Bvekwa Zvishavane (MASHLM, 2013) a Harare (in Zimbabwe) ha aperto il primo Chapter in Africa e a Parigi, Bérengère Chardier (COM, 2005) si è aggiunta al Chapter già esistente.

Times Higher Education: balzo in avanti per l'USI

Nella nuova edizione della classifica delle migliori università al mondo, l'USI ha migliorato la sua posizione passando dalla fascia 301-350 alla fascia 201-250 su 1799 atenei recensiti. L'USI guadagna una posizione anche nella classifica nazionale.

Nella classifica per discipline delle migliori università stilata da Times Higher Education (THE), l'Università della Svizzera italiana risulta la terza istituzione in Svizzera per scienze informatiche, a pari merito con l'Università di Zurigo e dietro i due politecnici federali.

Marco Maggi nuovo Vice Decano

È entrato in carica il 1° settembre 2022, affiancando il prof. Luca M. Visconti e la prof.ssa Katharina Lobinger, rispettivamente già Decano e Vice Decana e Delegata agli studi nella Facoltà di comunicazione, cultura e società. Il prof. Maggi subentra alla prof.ssa Sara Greco.

Marco Sieber nuovo astronauta svizzero

Marco Sieber, laurea in medicina, paracadutista e pilota, è stato selezionato tra oltre 22'000 candidati, come uno dei prossimi astronauti ESA, il primo svizzero dopo Nicollier. Anche l’USI Career festeggia la scelta del nuovo astronauta che ci auguriamo sarà di ispirazione agli studenti svizzeri.

The alumni community continues to grow! More than 400 new former students automatically joined the USI Alumni network in the autumn graduation session. This allows them to stay in touch with both USI and former classmates. See the other benefits here.

Placement Survey 2022

98% of USI alumni are employed

The survey 5 years after graduation (class of 2017) shows that 97.8% are employed: 60.5% in Switzerland, 22.2% in Italy and 17.2% in the rest of the world. The result of this survey, the 19th, is in line with previous ones, confirming the excellent integration of USI graduates into the world of work

USI has progressed and moved from the 301-350 range to the 201-250 range of 1799 universities reviewed in the new rankings of the world's best universities. USI also gains a position in the national ranking.

Marco Sieber new Swiss astronaut

Marco Sieber, degree in medicine, skydiver & pilot, has been selected among over 22'000 applicants as one of the 17 next ESA astronauts, the 1st. Swiss after Nicollier. USI Career, partner of Space Exchange Switzerland, hopes he will be an inspiration for Swiss students to pursue a career in space.
